Kentucky Representative Bart Rowland has called an interim Zoom meeting of the NCOIL Property & Casualty Insurance Committee on Friday, February 11th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. (EST).
Topics on the agenda will include:
- development of the NCOIL Insurance Underwriting Transparency Model Act, sponsored by Rep. Matt Lehman (IN), NCOIL Immediate Past President (the first draft will be based on IN HB 1238);
- development of an NCOIL Model Act setting forth insurance requirements for food and beverage delivery companies such as Grubhub and Drizly;
- discussion on the next steps for the NCOIL Fairness for Responsible Drivers Model Act, sponsored by Sen. Shawn Vedaa (ND); and
- an update on state legislative activity regarding the use of dog breed information in certain types of underwriting.
