We are happy to announce that we have rescheduled the NCOIL Summer National Meeting for September 24-26 at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town Hotel in Alexandria, Virginia (just outside Washington, DC). For those who are unable to travel or not yet comfortable so doing for the Summer Meeting, we will have a virtual option available via Zoom or something substantially similar.
Additionally, NCOIL President Matt Lehman (Rep. – IN) will be hosting an interim conference call meeting of the NCOIL Executive Committee on Wednesday, July 1st from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (EST).
While the primary purpose of the meeting is to discuss the plans for the re-scheduled Summer National Meeting, the fact that the Executive Committee members are together will be used to expand the agenda to discuss and consider other matters. The agenda will include:
1) discussion and consideration of the proposed amendments to the NCOIL Articles of Organization and Bylaws which were adopted by the NCOIL Articles of Organization & Bylaws Revision Committee via conference call earlier this month; and
2) a follow-up discussion of the one held by the NCOIL Property & Casualty Insurance Committee at its most recent meeting this past March in Charlotte, NC regarding the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) Casualty Actuarial and Statistical (C) Task Force’s (CASTF) draft Regulatory Review of Predictive Models White Paper (White Paper). This discussion will also include the consideration of a Resolution urging the NAIC to refrain from intruding on the Constitutional role of state legislators.
Please direct any questions or comments to NCOIL General Counsel Will Melofchik at [email protected].
Dial-in information and a formal agenda will be circulated prior to the call.
