As a prelude to the September "Summer" Meeting, New York Assemblywoman Pam Hunter will be hosting an interim Zoom meeting of the NCOIL Health Insurance & Long Term Care Issues Committee on Friday, August 21st from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (EST).
The purpose of the interim meeting is for the Committee to:
1.) conduct a final discussion on the NCOIL Short Term Limited Duration Insurance Model Act, sponsored by Indiana Representative Martin Carbaugh, before a vote is taken during the NCOIL “Summer” Meeting in September;
2.) determine the next steps for the NCOIL Health Care Sharing Ministry Registration Model Act, also sponsored by Representative Carbaugh;
3.) discuss air ambulance subscription membership products and the legislative and regulatory environment surrounding them; and
4.) discuss the growth of telemedicine and possible development of an NCOIL Telemedicine Model Act.
